I worked in Boston for many years, and every Friday evening when the weather was nice, I would go for a walk, explore different areas, and learn the big city that always seemed so close to home, yet so far from what I grew up knowing. I lived with roommates at the time, and my walks were a nice way to decompress on my own and relax before the weekend began. One day in the spring I was exploring (and getting lost in) Beacon Hill and took this picture of one of the historic and beautiful homes with a blossoming tree out front. I decided to paint the moment, so I can look back on these walks fondly.
