Not only do I offer art services that I do at home, but I also travel to different locations to create art in person. Whether it's assisting Beeble Art Center and other organizations with art education, painting murals, or simply engaging with the community, I enjoy interacting with people wherever I go.
Beeble Art Center
Melissa at Beeble Art Center LLC was the first person to take a chance on the Artful Astronaut. I travel to the Kingston, MA area every week to assist her in after-school and homeschool art classes for kids! I have learned so much from interacting with the kids and watching Melissa, the true teaching master, at work. I love assisting with the classes, ensuring things are organized, and being there if kids need help drawing something. I've even tried my hand at teaching myself and am enjoying the opportunities to run my own class during our vacation art camps.
Warehouse Logos
The warehouse for End Hunger New England has a 'Wall of Fame' for those who have donated to their cause. I have had the privilege of being asked to paint some of these logos on their wall. This can be challenging because the original logos rarely exist in a black and white form, so we need to convert them to make them paintable. I discussed my process for creating the Community Food Packaging logo in depth on Instagram, so check it out for more information!
Craft Fairs and Vendor Events
I have now attended a few different craft fair and vendor events! I make special items only available in person, so come and see me! I always mention where I will be next in my monthly newsletter, so sign up and keep on top of it!
